Project Paridhi 2017 marked an inspiring day of scientific curiosity and hands-on learning at P.P. Savani School, Surat. The event was inaugurated by the Education Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrasinhji Chudasama, whose presence encouraged students to explore the wonders of science through practical experience.

The highlight of the event was the participation of more than 500 enthusiastic students, all working together to calculate the circumference of the Earth using the ancient yet ingenious method first employed by Greek mathematician Eratosthenes. Through observation, measurement, and teamwork, students gained a deeper understanding of how science connects us with our planet.

Project Paridhi has become a signature annual initiative in Surat, growing steadily in scale and impact. Each year, over 750 students from various schools across the city join this unique scientific celebration. The project aims to provide students with an opportunity to experience real-world applications of mathematics, astronomy, and geography, inspiring them to explore STEM fields with confidence and curiosity.
